Will and his duck

Will did not get attached to items such as a paci or a blanket as early as Gaines did. Gaines had his paci from birth and then blue puppy around 4 months and still has about 10 "lovey" items in his bed. Will at 1, finally wanted his paci and we gladly let him have it!!! He also loves his blue blanket that Nonni's friend Connie gave him (Aunt ConCon) and orange blanket. Here lately he has actually been wanting his duck that Garrick and I got him, thinking he would lobe it like Gaines loved blue Puppy. He says, "Duck,Duck." When I took this pic on Valentine's day, it reminded me of another one I had of him when he was around 4 months old.

My Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day! As you may know I love themes, holidays, and matching my little boys so I could not wait to let the boys where their new pink shirts to school today. They both took Toy Story Valentine's and Dove Chocolates to their teachers.

Now this is typical of the Odom Brothers

The best shot I got

Priceless! Mommy and her little boys. As much as I complain (which is a lot!) I would not trade getting to spend these moments with you two!

Valentine Art

I love displaying Gaines and Will's artwork from school and it is so hard for me to actually take it down. I still have some from Gaines on our cabinets from when he was about 12 months old from the Gardner school.

Here are some of Gaines's Art Work:

Preparing for Valentine's Day

Everyone once in a while I try to be a good Mom and get crafty. I am not really sure why I do it, it never ends well for a few reasons. One, I do not have the patience it requires for a specific task to be completed with my boys. Two, they do not listen and they have an attention span of 30 seconds. Our task was to paint pictures for the cute little Valentine mailboxes we made the family. What the pictures do not capture was me losing it! We did end up with every family member some sort of picture and at least a piece of candy!

Delivering the candy to all the mailboxes

Will eating all the candy instead of delivering! I think this was his first Reeses Peanut Butter Cup

I do love this picture! This was the before while they were sweetly working on their projects.

This is where the screaming starts - Will takes Gaines's paint

Sickly February

So far we have started February off with a bang with illness around this house. We thought Gaines had pink eye so we treated him and he missed school - come to find out once it would not go away for days that it may have just been allergies. Which is interesting, because 2 years ago around this time we started him on Zyrtec daily because we could not get his eyes to stop watering. Maybe this is going to be his allergy season.

We have been to the doctor's office 3 times in 10 days.

Look at his poor weak eyes
Then Will got sick. Before we took him to the doctor on Friday, we made a quick trip to the zoo. it has been so long since we have been and I knew the boys needed to be outside!
Love this pic of the boys! Shows their personalities to a tee!

Always one step behind his big bro

My sweet 3 year old!
Poor Will, he had an ear infection then started throwing up, ran a high fever, had trouble breathing so they put him on breathing treatments and steroids. Finally after about 10 days of this we are finally better (knock on wood!).

Naked Chef

Will has truly discovered the kitchen set and it is so fun to see him cooking away. Gaines at this very same age loved the kitchen so much. Nonni found this one at a garage sale with all the fixings for $10 and we have truly got our moneys worth out of it.

Chore Chart

Gaines has found a new toy that he wants and talks about it 24 hours a day.  We really wanted to get this for him but could not come up with a good reason to buy it for him and lets face it we have got to figure out some way for our kids to not think they just get a toy a day.
Little People Castle

Can't you just see Gaines playing on the iPad and looking at this picture thinking how much fun this will be?!?! This is perfect timing for the new show that he is addicted to on Nick called Mike the Knight.

So I came up with the chore chart and Gaines and I sat down and agreed on what all he would do daily to earn $1 leading up to the $24 to buy it. Needless to say after the three days of not earning any money, we had to revise our list! I may have set the bar a little high pooping in the potty and no time-outs was a little much for my child.

We narrowed it down to 4 items. He earns a sticker for each chore from now until Valentine's Day and then if he has done all of this and gives the paci to the Paci Fairy she will bring him his castle.

Chore List:
1. Pooping in the potty
2. Drinking a cup of milk
3. Picking up toys
4. Listening to your Mommy and being nice

I will let you know if he is playing with his castle come February 15th!
