My 33rd Birthday

Celebrating the big 33 this year - Triple threat is what I kept calling it until one of my more intelligent friends told me that would actually be 333...with age comes wisdom may not apply here!

Nonni had a wonderful birthday craft planned for the boys of course that ended up happening at our house. Very serious about their brown large canvases for their mommy for her birthday.

 We celebrated the Sunday before with my family. My birthday dinner request was Salmon, mash potatoes, and fudge pie. YUM AND SMELLY! Thanks Mom!!!

Garrick's Downtown Adventure

This morning I had to take brunch to Safe Haven Family Shelter with my Junior League Committee and Garrick had promised the boys to go Downtown to Bridgestone Arena for the Nashville Predators event. I was so proud of Garrick for wanting to do this solo with the boys and even more proud when it was literally pouring down rain this morning and he took them anyways (I think next time we will not tell them about it ahead of time!) They had so much fun!

Aunt Amy's Visit

We kicked off the 2013 with a visit from Aunt Amy! She is in her sophomore year at LSU and we are so excited she decided to spend some of her winter break with us. We also FINALLY after about 2.5 weeks got all of our paperwork finished and the Odyssey Van is officially ours to drive!

We picked Amy up from the airport and headed to dinner at Chuy's. Then we saw the best Christmas Light Show in town (supposedly). Our van load was not that impressed and could not wait to get home!

The Wiggles

Over the past two and a half years, Will really has lacked interest in any of Gaines's "shows." The only TV he would really sit and watch was sports (I know you are probably thinking, isn't it a great thing that he does not like tv...maybe in your household!). He finally is obsessed with a show. My little linebacker loves The Wiggles. It is a show with four real men (not cartoon) singing and dancing in primary colors. It is hysterical to me that he loves this. He watches them on my phone, on You Tube, and TV. Of course the day has finally come that Gaines and Will argue over who gets to watch what. We are really considering having his 3rd birthday be "Wiggles" themed.

What we have noticed comparing both boys is that Gaines loves cartoons but really could care less about shows without animation like Fresh Beat Band, The Wiggles, Sesame Street but loves any cartoons. Will seems to be drawn to all the ones above plus sports.

Polar opposites in everything.

This is when I realize I am old...when Aunt Amy visits! I truly think I am up with all the cool things going on and the lingo and then reality hits. The boys were taking "selfies" with Aunt Amy. Selfie by definition is a picture of yourself on your cell phone - who knew?!?! These are hysterical!
