Sandestin Day 5

This was the first day Garrick had to work for his conference and the boys and I set off with Nonni and Poppy for our "adventure" as Gaines refers to most outings. That should set the expectations for most of what we do with my children!
Now these are some lookers!
On our way to the Marina we passed all of these really cool tree houses. Of course Nonni told the boys that Poppy would build them one...I am sure I will not here about this for a long time. We don't even have a tree in our yard! We finally got to the Marina and it is CLOSED! At this point we are all starving so we head back to the center of Baytowne and finally end up at the German restaurant. I'm so glad I had Nonni and poppy with me, made the time go by much faster with the boys. I am sure they felt the same way! Ha!
Eating our picnic lunch in the condo.
We met up with Garrick's co-workers families at the pool which was so much fun. Dan and Angela have two kids Parks and Emerson that the boys love to play with and Eric and his wife have 6 of their 7 kids with them ranging from 10-2 months. The boys loved all the attention and all the kids were so sweet and good to the boys. Garrick had a break from his meeting and came with us to swim before naptime.

Playing ball with the big boys!

Might be one of my favorite pictures of the boys!
Daddy's Boys
We found Poppy a t-shirt that says "My Name is Poppy" for Father's Day and Gaines posed for his picture for his Father's Day card.
We met with the Applegates and Schwinn's for dinner at Hammerheads. There were 18 of us! It was so much fun and not as chaotic as you would think!
These boys are very GQ like their Daddy.
My Daddy loving every bit of vacation. He is just so blessed...
Checking out the Band
Breaking it down while waiting on our dinner

Dan and I took these 3 boys to feed the fish. Gaines and Will made me a nervous wreck on the pier and Will was not taking No for an answer. Needless to say Dan got to see the not so charming side of my 2 year old.

Of course Nonni and Gaines had to to go off and have some time...I wish he could have his Nonni!

Sandestin Day 4

Today we check out of the Hilton and head on over to Baytowne to stay for the rest of the week. This actually works out to be the perfect combo. We spent the morning at the pool and a late lunch at Margaritaville. Nonni and Will went head to head over him throwing something at her head. I think they had a stare off for a good 5 minutes. This child I do not know what to do with and this grandmother...

We headed out in the obnoxious heat and took the boys to explore a little bit of Baytowne. They were so excited for their first trip on the Carousel. They are so tired but it is too late for a nap so this made for an interesting afternoon. Just about a million meltdowns.

Nonni and Poppy watched the boys and Garrick and I went out to eat at Tommy Bahamas and shopped around for a little bit at the Grand at Sandestin. It was so nice and relaxing. We headed back to Baytown and we were praying we would not run into the boys (sorry boys!) and they caught us! We sat down to visit with Garrick's co-workers families and Poppy and Will spotted us as we were trying to hide. Gaines of course could have cared less but Will wanted to stay. Nonni took him screaming and crying. He is a little spirited.

Sandestin Night 3

After naps and pool time we got bathed and dressed to get some beach pictures taken and head to dinner. You know how serious I am about my photo opps and the boys were not interested at all in cooperating. They were wild men! We ended up getting quite a few "keepers" but below is an example of what our session really looked liked!

"Just reading my newspaper," says Gaines. He is the funniest child I have ever met.

The boys running around like mad men. Will literally pulling Gaines up saying, "Come Gaines. Come." Of course all I care about is that the sun is setting and the boys are getting sand all over their clean outfits! I am getting very testy to say the least.

Our Keeper

Love this one!
Gaines is just cracking up at his Nonni and Poppy being silly and Will is like "really that is all you got?"

Christy and Garrick
Our third time at the Sandestin Hilton. The last time I was pregnant with Gaines and we felt him kick for the first time on the beach.

Seriously, this is what I was dealing with!!!

This is the reactions their grandparents bring out in them...

These seriously make me laugh out loud.

Look at little pea head - not Dad this time!
After our wonderful photo session, we ate dinner at the hotel which was not the most pleasant event with the two tired boys. In the big scheme of things they really did do well since they normally are in bed by 7:30pm and we didn't even eat dinner until 7:30pm! After dinner we headed off to go crabbing. Well let me tell what an adventure that was - not one! We did not see one crab and we kept trying to figure out what genius had this idea. Our last night at the Hilton finally came to an end!

Sandestin Day 3

This is our last full day at the beach. I am so excited about these two pictures of the boys so I wanted to start off with these precious babies!  I love this one of them holding hands even if it is staged - they at least did it!

Gaines woke up early and we had some nice cuddling time while watching some shows.

We let the boys go down to breakfast in their pajamas every day. Anytime they get to stay in their pajamas is the best day ever to them! They loved the buffet. We just loved their company-)

We headed down to the beach and Nonni and poppy got their right when we did so it was perfect timing. The beach really was not crowded the entire week. The weather was still great.

Totally Will Odom throwing the frisbee
Tossing sand in the air.
He was only told not to about 500 times.

This is a special section dedicated just to Poppy. He has to be told when he is having fun so I wanted to make sure we had it in writing just how much fun he was having with his family. he just loves vacations, family time, and spending money (I hope you can feel the sarcasm dripping off this text). He also likes to show off a little bit and had to do his little performance in the ocean. I don't think he realizes he is a grandfather now and the ocean always wins!

The boys were having a blast getting "blasted" by each wave! With each one crashing into them they would squeal and scream in delight.

I love this little boy so much! The boys thought they were so big cleaning off the sand "by self" as Will says. You just had to stand clear while they were doing so or you would come out soaked. We headed up to the pool after spending time at the beach. Of course we had to get a little popcorn snack.

Gaines spent the entire time with his old Nonni and Poppy. He is a little stingy with his grandparents.
Daddy's Boys!
This is when I could just eat my youngest up. He does everything with such vigor (is that the word?).
He jumped off the side of the pool to his Daddy about 500 times and the rules for jumping were you had to count and let someone know you were going to jump. This is Will getting ready for his jumps. I could not look at him his faces were cracking me up so much.

Gaines and his crazy NonNon
Mommy and Will
Naptime! Reading Fifty Shades of Gray by myself with the perfect view and breeze.
After the boys got up from their nap we came back down to the beach for a little bit before getting ready for pictures and dinner.

This is true love for this Momma - sitting in the sand and playing.

Still trying to get the perfect photo to submit for the contest.
By the way, this is the one we entered and won!!! So at the end of the summer, we will solicit all our friends to like this pic on facebook to win a trip.

A little snack and juice before the end of our beach day. Time to go in and get ready!
