Worship Without Walls

This year was the first year we really got the boys involved with our church's Worship Without Walls day. They had the opportunity to go sing at the Assisted Living home with their Songbirds group. Will has learned the songs and is so close to 4- I broke the rules and signed him up anyways. I was so proud of him! He did such a great job!!!

Offer Group Pool Party

Our Offer Group with church got together tonight for a cook-out and pool party. We had around 30+ and it was crazy but super fun. We were worried that it was going to rain but the rain held off for the entire party. I think we finally left at 8pm.

The pool did not really have a place for the kids to touch so they played in the hot tub. This was fine until about 3 hours in to the fun Will smashed his eye on the side which is now almost black and then an hour later 2 of the kids collided and Will cracked the back of his head into the side!

The guys tried to sneak off for a volleyball game. It quickly turned into a FAMILY game. Some talent and very RAW talent was revealed.
Gaines hung for a while and then decided to "ref"
Will was SO into the game. One time the ball came right over the net to him and he instinctually hit it! Now if he would do this at baseball camp!
All the big kids were dancing to Thriller and here comes Gaines Reginald with his dance moves. No shame!

Short Week

We are heading to Greenville later this week for the 4th and despite only being home 2 days this week, we packed it full!

Monday, we finally got to spend some time with Hayes, Charlie, and Anna Clare at the Zoo. It ended up being a great day for the zoo. It was not too hot at all. We used to good to spend even 2 hours there now we are there for 3-4 and don't even realize it! I love these pics of watching our boys grow.

Tuesday we had our church Play group at Sarah-Beth''s house for pool day. We had a great group and the kids had a blast as usual. It was actually really cool out and the pool was freezing. This did not seem to bother the kids at all!

Gaines has pulled out every vehicle we own (which is a lot!) and set them up in his room and has called it his "SQUAD" for emergencies. The best part about it is each time he adds something he wants us to take a picture of it. I can't complain since I'm always making him take pics! We seriously have at least 20 pics on mine and Garrick's phone of the "Squads."

He let Will add to it for this picture.
So excited! Will is petting the animals. I really am happy he is getting over the fear of animals!

Summer Fun

Now that we are home from vacation and getting back in the swing of things we had quite a few fun adventures this week!

On Monday after the Y, Mimi came and ran errands with us. She really has not come with us as much this year since her fall in August so we were happy to have her with us! I think the boys wore her out though. She will sleep for a few days!

Mamaw got here on Tuesday and stayed with us off and on for a few days. We went to the movies on Wednesday and saw Rio about a bird.

Thursday we had PUMC Play group at a fairly new park downtown by the titans stadium. It was awesome! The boys had a blast. We went straight from this activity to an afternoon birthday party for Clara - also outside and water party. The boys had a blast but were exhausted. Will had a major poop in his pants at the party. This is my life right now.

Friday, Mamaw watched the boys were I could leave early for my girls weekend in Knoxville. She took them shopping to spend Will's birthday money and got Gaines a little treat as well.

Garrick took care of the boys while I was gone and had another eventful baseball class with Will on Saturday. He cried for the first half and then started doing it the second half. I'm not sure what is up with this but boy is it frustrating.
Sunday, Garrick and the boys had "devotions" at the park with their donuts.

Ready for the movies!
Gaines loves the movies and Will did the best he could. He got quite ansy and was hard to keep entertained.

Crazy boys!

Clara's 5th Birthday Party. Gaines loved the slide and Will loved jumping in and out of the pool.

Shopping with Mamaw
Gaines got a Big boot ambulance
Will got a Jake pirate and Loves it! This is the first time he has actually wanted a stuffed animal usually it is a ball.

Baseball class - Will did same threw fit until half way through it.

The text I received on Sunday morning was: Devotions and donuts at the park. Hmmmm....

VBS

We just finished a week full of VBS! This is my second year volunteering and I had 5 year olds. I had some of these children last year and I just love getting to know them. The theme was Fun Fair Everywhere. Will was old enough to attend this year. Luke Blevinsand him were in the same class and he enjoyed it once we left but the first night Garrick dropped him off and he threw a full blown fit. Garrick finally got him calmed down and left. Gaines on the other hand was like "see ya Dad."  It was so hot and muggy all week but we had fun!

Mommy's Boys

My friend Valerie and I were paired up again for our second year of these crazy kids! This year instead of 56 4&5 year olds, we had 14. It was so much more fun this year with the Purple Peanuts.

This kids learn songs each night to perform for their families on the last night. The boys praticed and sang their songs over and over again. As soon as I went to drop off Will with his group he lost it again - this is really getting old. So this was how Will spent his first official church performance.

Strawberry Pickin'

We kicked off PUMC's Summer Play group with Strawberry Pickin' this morning. It was a perfect day! The weather was even pretty cool. We are so lucky to have this farm in our county. We headed out to Circle S Farms and all the kids had a blast. Will hung with our girls, Saylor and Hallee, and Gaines walked around and checked in with the other adults in the group. He is so independent. Will ate more strawberries than he actually picked.

Sheree and I don't even try to coordinate this - it just happens!

Mary Brent just followed Gainesy around - it was so cute!
