Will's Thanksgiving Feast

Today we had a Thanksgiving feast with Will's class. All the parents enjoyed lunch as well. His little class really is so cute. They all play together. Ms.Cassie told me that Will is Madison's protector. She is this petite little girl in his class. She said he will literally put his arm around her and his hand up to the boys for getting to rough around her. With all his aggressive and all boy traits he truly is a caretaker as well. I love watching him.

Will's teacher Ms.Cassie is so good about taking pictures of their day. Will seems to really love all the kids in his class. He says they play Monster on the playground and Power Rangers. Will is such a good playmate. Here are some pics from the past month or so.

First Week of School

Gaines and Will both were super excited this week to start school. Will stood and got his picture taken so proudly! Gaines has Ms. Heather and 12 kids in his class actually 10 boys and 2 girls. She has done an incredible job with her classroom which makes it hard to drag Will out to go to his classroom. Will keeps  saying when he is 4 he will be in Gaines and Chase's class. Ms. Cassie is Will's teacher and she seems fabulous as well. Will knows all 8 in his class and plays well with all them. Will goes Thursday and Thursday and Gaines goes Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday which is new for his Pre-K year. 

Favorites from their first day:

Gaines said there was a Diego Animal Science Book that talked about different animals and that was favorite. Also this game he made up for his crew to play on the playground.

Will said he played power rangers on the playground and told me He was red, Gavin was black, Carter was blue, and Hallee and Lily were pink. I asked if they knew they were playing?!? He also said his favorite was trucks. 

My favorite was Ms. Cassie posted pics on Facebook of their first day. Loved seeing what all they were up to!

We went to Chic-fil-a with Lily and Ms.Betsy after school for ice cream and to play. They are exhausted!

Wednesday Will and I took Gaines to school and I have to admit just adding this extra day is really making me sad. He is just getting so big and soon I will not have any of this time with him. I texted this to Garrick and he wrote back "I know I will be a mess when we take him to Kindergarden!"

Will and I picked up Gaines from school on Wednesday and Ms. Heather was talking to the parents. She was saying to be patient over the next couple of weeks because all of her 12 students were on different levels some had never been in school or Mother's Day Out before and others have been in for 3 years and it would just take a little time to figure out what each student needs. Then she said, "And Gaines asked to day Ms. Heather when are we going to learn something REAL?" in regards to working on straight lines. Ha! My question for Ms. Heather is did he do his straight lines?    

Gaines told Ms. Heather he was a Police Officer and a law maker. Ms. Heather explained that Police officers don't make laws they enforce them and she said his eyes got so big taking in every word of it.

Gaines asked me after school when Spring Break was and I said not for a long time. He sighed and asked if he was going to be in school forever? I think it is interfering with his play time and he is just realizing this.

Last Day of School

We went by Mimi's this morning to pick flowers for our teachers and headed off to school for the very last day. I cannot believe Summer break is officially here. This year has flown by. Will has changed so much this school year. Both of the boy had fun days planned for the last day. Gaines's class was hanging outside all day and Will's had Water Day.

When I am 16...

While driving home from the last day of school this was my conversation with Gaines:

G: Mom, I really miss our white car. 

Me: Well, when you are 16 and you are old enough to drive IF you have really good grades and you are a very good kid maybe Daddy and I will buy you a white car. 

G: yes, a white highlander.

Me: you will have to drive your brother to school and then when he is 16 you all will share the car. 

G: no, you will get us two cars.

Me: no sir, we will not be able to afford two.

G: then I'll get a wife.

Me: why do you need a wife? You don't want to get married at 16? Who are you even going to marry?

G: I told you already. I need you to make me a ring in a box and give to kylee like a prince and princess. 

Me: Well, what does getting married have to do with a car? You still have to share your car with your wife.

G: no I don't. Wives get their own cars.

End of the Year School Program

This is one of my favorite nights! The End-of-the- Year program at school. The kids have been practicing their 2 songs per class since January. Last year Gaines gave his famous bow, this year he did really well. No bow but sand all the words and did the motions. We were so interested in what Will was going to do because this was truly the first "performance" he had ever had on stage. He did so good. Of course he showed NO facial expressions but he sand all his songs and did the motions. Gaines kept reminding me Ms. Sonya told them to wear church clothes so of course he chose his bow-tie. Our whole crew was there - of course! Will has been talking about his friend Chase non-stop and I finally got to see them in action together. They are so stinkin' cute.
