The Greatest Show on Earth

Nonni got us tickets to the Greatest Show on Earth for the third year in a row. Mr. Steve hooked us up with parking AND a visit with a real police officer. Gaines is still really excited about the POLICE. The boys did not really last as long as in the past at the circus. Maybe they will be over it soon...this Mommy can only dream.

We always try and talk about our "favorite" part of the day or activity with the boys.
Gaines's Favorite: The police car and popcorn
Will's Favorite: The motorcycle act
Mommy and Daddy's Most Memorable Moment: When the tigers got a little too feisty in the cage and we were wondering how we would explain to the boys how the trainer got eaten by the tiger...
"I love police cars."
"I want my picture by motorcycle."

Will does not miss anything but he wants to keep a very safe distance.
Ole' NonNon joined us.
love this sweet face

Snow White's Drive In

My girlfriend Liz from college always raves about this place in Lebanon called Snow White's and I had never even heard of it. So while she was in town, we made plans to meet there with the boys. It was great! It is totally old school and a meat and three type restaurant. The boys were in rare form. Gaines performed Gangam Style for the place and seriously talked Liz's ear off.

they were heaven with their "own" cones. Will would not even let me have a bite!

ADPi Girls Weekend

This year for our annual ADPi Class of 98 Pledge Class weekend we headed to the mountains. Melissa coordinated our trip and found us a great place in Wears Valley, TN right in between Townsend and Pigeon Forge, TN. This was our 11th girls weekend. We had a blast! It was one of my favorite girls weekends besides maybe our Grayton trip. We could not have had more "girly" activities from Bunko to a pinterest party.

Kristy made this amazing cookies and brought them all the way from Annapolis.
Our first game of the weekend - HEADBANDS
I was Game Chair this year and I think Kristy will be taking over next year.
Liz is our official t-shirt chair.
LOVE THE DESIGN FOR THIS YEAR!!!

Saturday we all slept in and had a late brunch and headed to the hot tub. We did have an interesting morning trying to be MacGyver and figuring out how to make coffee without filters, needless to say Kris and Jess headed off to the store. As soon as they left a tree fell blocking the road and knocking out the power for a while. They finally returned and we had coffee!

Skyping with LeeAnn and Carolina
Watching a movie in our theater.
Teaching the gals Liverpool Rummy, a Gaines family tradition. Everyone loved it except for Mel, a little too long for her taste.

Jess was in charge of our craft or pinterest party.
We made ADPi Christmas Ornaments. I love crafts!!!

We did manage to get a game of Bunko in on Sunday night!
On Monday, we had a tour and lunch at the new ADPi House. It just opened in the fall and it is beautiful. They have talked about this happening since we were in college.
Garrick and I have an ongoing debate on whether I included my "full" name on our donation to the house. This is his proof that his name is also on the wall!

I love this picture! This was taken in the foyer.

The meeting room and dining hall

Seeing one of our composites on the wall. We were so excited!
We ended up locating all of our composites except one our junior year.
Christy Circa 1998-1999, 1999-2000, and 2001-2002

Eating our first lunch at the ADPi house. We could not even imagine this being our place for lunch versus Smokies in the UC.
Completing the diamond in front of the house.

Daddy's Weekend with the Boys

This weekend Garrick had the boys while I went to my girls weekend and I don't think they missed Mommy at all!

Mamaw came to visit on Saturday

Will watching his first real hockey game on tv. Noted the fighting immediately.

45 minutes later still watching.
