Visit to the Downtown Library with Gaines & Lucy

Today I took Gaines and Lucy to the Downtown Nashville Library for a puppet show. I have been really wanting to do this with boys and it was so worth it! The Library is awesome and has such a neat children's section. LK and Gaines looked all around, picked out some books, and then we went in to the show. Gaines just sat and stared at the show the entire time. Lucy lost interest about 10 minutes in but in her defense I think she was exhausted! We had rocked her little schedule over the past 24 hours. I asked Gaines if he remembered any of the characters and he said no but then while using the potty he recited the entire play! He is a mess!!!

We played the favorite game in the car. LK's favorite colors: Green,Red, & Black. Gaines favorite colors: Orange and Brown (what?!?). LK fave show: Tangled. Gaines fave show: Max & Ruby (again what?!?!)

Spring Break Visit from Mamaw and Lucy

We are on week two of our Spring break and Mamaw decided to come visit us for a day or so. We have talked about seeing if Lucy could come by herself where her and Gaines could have some play time without the entire crew of cousins and we finally worked it out - Lucy got to come! We were all so excited and I think Mamaw and I both would agree that it was worth it. All three of them just played and played and played. They got here yesterday around 10:30am and we headed to Charlie Daniels Park to play and for a picnic lunch. Mamaw described them as little bunnies they would just hop up everywhere. Will was so funny, he hung right there in with the big kids. The rain held off and we were able to spend about 2 hours there. They loved playing hide-n-go seek.

 Then we came home, all the kids took good naps and got up and played some more! I love listening to Lucy and Gaines have their tiny conversations.

 Mamaw brought the kids a surprise and they loved sticking the eggs on the windows. Will really loved it and was very intense when arranging his on the window. Gaines of course did his in about 5 seconds and was over it. Check out this height difference between the two cousins.

Nonni came over to play a game of musical chairs because she can't come over and just sit and eat dinner!

Love this! They actually slept all night in the same room. Cousin sleepover! They compromised on night lights and music but they did it!

Best St. Patrick's Day Ever!

We kicked off St. Patrick's Day with going to the park. It was another gorgeous summer day in March. Of course I was trying to capture the perfect St. Patrick's Day pic and did not happen but I did get some cute ones!

Gaines loves to just RUN at the park. 

Will has and still does love to play with any ball and is pretty coordinated considering his parents and his older brother genes getting passed down to him!

I tried so hard to get a pic with these hats! I love these!!!

 Nonni and Poppy came over after nap and watched the boys where we could go to the Franklin Square St. Patty's Day Beerfest. We have never been before and we had a blast. It was just fun to do something besides go out to eat plus the boys love when their grandparents sleepover! 

This was worth my $40 for a ticket! How great is this pic?!?!

We were so lucky it did not pour on us. After the event, Novak took us to Drake's in Cool Springs to continue the party as Novak usually does! It actually was perfect and we all loved watching Jeff's dance moves the rest of the night. We even saw a couple of moves from Garrick. I did feel old, we were so excited about the music line up because it was from our era and all the other old people were busting a move!

At home Nonni and Poppy were working on some Easter activities I had gotten for them to do with the kids. I have NEVER even when i was little enjoyed coloring Easter eggs and Gaines kept picking out these kits at target and I explained to him that you ONLY do these activities with grandparents that Mommy does not do eggs. Needless to say, I think Nonni was about to kill me...She said that they had dye all over my house. Will thought the eggs were balls hence the cracks and Poppy was just like having a third child!
