Day 4 - Seacrest Beach,FL

Today was our first full day in Rosemary and it was wonderful. Maybe I just really needed a vacation!!! I am still in love with the condo and pool. We kicked off Father's Day with a walk to Alys Beach to the Donut Truck and coffee shop. Thank goodness we decided to bring the double stroller, it was a little longer of a walk than we thought but worth it. The boys loved the pool and really cool playground. Then we headed to the beach.

Will loved the sand and the ocean. Gaines like anything did for a moment. He is super whiney today. I'm sure they are exhausted but I think he is getting sick too. His little nose will not stop running. He wanted to go to the pool so every 5 minutes he was melting down. Will was perfectly content. Gaines and I did jump some waves and he loved that especially when one took me out and I was spitting salt water. After a couple of hours we headed to the pool and they were in heaven. Cried leaving of course. We headed upstairs for lunch and Nonni and Poppy arrived right at naptime so the boys got sidetracked a little with giving the tour, testing out their bed, etc. Since we arrived first, we gave Nonni and Poppy the room on the street side where they have more privacy. G and I tried to hide our beautiful view and King size bed! G felt a little bad - I didn't! They finally settled down and napped.

We ended up going to the Mexican restaurant across the way for dinner since we still had not made it to the grocery store (we decided to enjoy the beach instead during nap time!). The weather is amazing right now. Breezy and not too hot. We sat outside and breezy turned into tornado winds which was priceless. Mom is trying to be cool and laid back (which she is not) and pretend that her hair was not whipping in her face or the food etc. we just kept laughing. My parents and us never enjoy the same meals! Will and Poppy had words on the way in so Will pouted the first 20 minutes and would not look at Poppy (he told him to hold his hand and will told him no...). Gaines just sat over with his NonNon. After the boys were done Garrick took them to the open grassy area to run around and burn some more energy. We shopped a little and headed home.

I think it was a pretty good Father's Day.

Will helping carry stuff that Gaines tossed down...big helper!
They thought they were big stuff because we let them go without for their swim shirts for 30 minutes. Their farmer tans could sure use it!

Watch this Poppy. One day Poppy will learn to cuddle. He will miss this even if he will never admit it! Old Cold Hearted Snake!
