We headed out this morning at 6:40am. I woke Will up and whispered, "come on baby, lets get up and head to the beach" and he jumped right up and started gathering all his blankets! Our car was packed to the brim. The only thing we did not get in was the boys bikes but hopefully Nonni and Poppy will get those in their car. Four pit stops, one hour of stand still traffic, and 9.5 hours later we arrive in Clear Point, close to Mobile,AL. The resort is The Grand Marriott and it is wonderful! We are right on the Gulf and there is an amazing pool, putting greens, playground, bikes, boats, sand, hammocks - basically everything little boys could dream of! It is so muggy and the town reminds me a lot of Charleston or Savannah. We unpacked and from our balcony we have an awesome view of the water and all the boats and bikes you can rent. Will stayed out there and watched all the activity going on down below. We decided to go explore the resort where I could get my bearings for being solo tomorrow and get dinner as well. At this point my patience is running thin. Will completely loses his mind when you tell him no so dinner was a challenge that and he pooped in his pants (love potty training- I only have 24 pairs packed hope that is enough!). After dinner, we explored a little more and then came back to figure out the sleeping arrangements. Garrick and I have been so lucky that we have managed some pretty big hotel rooms or suites- this one not so much. We still have not transitioned Will from the crib yet so we got a roll-away and wedged him in between the two beds and Gaines in one of the full beds with pillows were he doesn't roll off and finally around 10pm they fell asleep! Thank goodness! Day 1 vacation complete.

Ready to roll - Vacation Here we Come!
They love eating their breakfast in the car. Will decided he HAD to have his shades. |
|
Still in shades, they were checking out the view from our balcony. |
|
Mad he had to go eat dinner. |
|
Sweet, sweaty boys up way past their bedtime. |

"Mom, take my picture - cheese." |

Daddy let the boys play with his iPad and the boys were obsessed with it. They shared for the most part and Gaines would say, "Watch me Will." |

Our sleeping arrangements for this leg of the trip. Will's was so excited to stay in a big boy bed. |
